🌋 MAGMAGGEDON 🌋

Magmaggedon is a third person shooter with rogue-like mechanisms taking place in a volcano type environment.

The universe.

In this universe, EXTRCT, a megacorporation, produces electricity with the plasma created by the explosions of basaltic magma. Someday, a engineer discovers the existence of a big lava-monsters-producing parasite inside of a volcano and decide to send workers study the parasite so he can prove the existence and the value of it to his superiors.
The player plays these workers and each time he dies, he takes control of a new worker, representing the corporation's lack of empathy and respect for its employees, while confronting the player with their responsibility in this grim cycle.

With each run comes a different weapon and so the player must adapt, find a new way to play and to build his lava-fueled armor.

Where is it at?

Magmaggedon is my end of study project, working with three other game designers and four game artists since September 2024 and hoping to finish in June 2025.

My role in this project is to take care of the producing, the writing and designing the enemies and the bosses. It is a huge thing for me since it is the first time that I work on a project that big (and that long), that I am in charge of producing and that I, almost, don't code.

We are actually at the very end of the pre-production phase and I will be posting more photos and a playable prototype in the next month.
